CLIENT NEEDS:
- Full concert setup/system compatible for music video recording
- Atmospheric lighting to transform event space (industrial/urban aesthetic)
- Walk-in/Entrance space with graffiti loop projected on entire exterior surface of building
- Vibrant red lighting for a 5-story elevator shaft
TROUBLESHOOTING:
- Large concert in an event space not designed for or intended to accommodate such events (original construction; limited rigging)
- Limited power 200-amp service availability
- Limitations on load-in/load-out times due to event space availability
- Limited budget placed constraints on labor
WORKING SOLUTIONS:
- Built ground supported truss box to fit exactly within the space while not limiting the audience floor space
- Used existing event space lighting and added gel to save on amount of fixtures needed and reduce draw on the already low power availability
- Used LED fixtures wherever possible to also save on power draw
- LED video wall chosen to add to the aesthetic of the concert and video recording
- Color Kinetic Reach fixtures used to illuminate the 5-story elevator shaft
- Barco R12H projectors used to project and cover an entire exterior building surface for walk-in space
